The fact that the literary canon is constantly transforming has already become a cliché of literary criticism. However, the discovery of a truly important and almost entirely unknown author is not so frequent. Whether they manage to enter the canon after being discovered depends on several factors. Chief among them is the ability to access their works, and in the case of Ildefonso Ovejas, this hurdle has already been cleared thanks to the work of Andrew Ginger.
