Abstract

The COVID pandemic has made it even clearer to nurses that we are a fundamental pillar within the health professions, that we are the guarantors of care in hospitals, centers, and homes, and that we have a great power to adapt to the worst possible situations with the minimum resources, being able to transform units and centers in record time. Society has recognized us this way, and we are very proud of it, but nursing has always been and will be a profession dedicated to people (healthy and sick), their care and their family and social environment, supported by scientific evidence to provide the best quality care and with the greatest possible
safety.
