Abstract

The COVID 19 pandemic has had a major impact on the physical and mental health of the population. Both the direct action of the virus, causing neuroinflammatory processes, and the measures taken to reduce its transmission through policies of social distancing, compulsory confinement or the suspension of productive activity leading to loss of income have jointly
influenced the mental health of society. Moreover, health care during the pandemic posed a challenge for health care workers. In the following article we discuss the adaptation of our resources during the time of the pandemic, as well as the direct and indirect influence that this agent has had on the mental health of our population.
