Intervención del equipo de trabajo social en salud y sociosanitario en la COVID-19 en La Rioja

It is described the social work activity in health centers, hospitals and the socio-sanitary coordination during the COVID-19 pandemic in La Rioja. Taking into account a holistic vision of health, the activity involves the social dimension of the affected individuals and families: the coverage of the most basic needs in homes, the self-isolation compliance and the organization of support for dependents and their caregivers. Furthermore, family emotional support and verification of confinement conditions until discharge from hospital care, also coordinating the COVID convalescence activity. Finally, grief support and intervention when it was required.
At the same time, it has meant a strengthening of the figure of social work in both the Primary Care and Hospital teams, and the coordination between services and institutions.
